Parkray Wood and Multifuel stoves
Parkray have a good range of Freestanding and inset stoves. Eco-friendly these stoves are kinder to the environment thanks to there unique 'cleanburn' technology. This means that not only are these stoves contributing to a cleaner environment they are also more efficient. The integral grates on these fires can be changed from a woodsetting to multi-fuel with a twist of the cold handled riddling tool.
Parkray stoves are safe and efficient for overnight burning. By reducing the air inflow to an absolute minimum, teh fire will gently smoulder and remain alight through the night. When required, the fire will come to life by increasing the airflow into the stove.

There are many designated smoke control areas in wiltshire and the surrounding areas. If you live in a smoke control area, the clean air act prevents you from emitting smoke from your chimney . This means your usually able to burn authorised smokeless fuel only. However the lovenholm isn't like ordinary stoves it smokes so little that DEFRA has just declared it exempt from the clean air regulations. This means that you can use a Lovenholm (with grate) to burn wood logs , even if you live in a smoke controlled area in wiltshire. The Lovenholm stoves built-in technology ensures that emissions are consistantly low. So if you are in a smoke controlled area in swindon and the surrounding wiltshire areas it is still possible to have a woodburning stove.
Are solid fuel or woodburning stoves cheaper to run?
This question is asked frequently in our showroom. And it is a difficult one to answer, considering you have to factor in so many things. Are they cheaper? well firstly cheaper than what? Gas, electric, oil or LPG. If you have a free supply or are happy to forage for wood, the answer is simply yes.
Many houses require a liner for the chimney. This initial outlay for the liner and stove will typically cost between £1600 to £2000. If you then add the price of your fuel each month (if you are paying for it) then suddenly the costs against something like mains gas does not stack up so well. If running oil or LPG you would in most cases save more by switching to a woodburning stove. But again over a period of years. The factors to consider are the costs for your fuel against what you pay currently, The practicality of having a woodburning or multifuel stove and the cost of the installation and stove itself. A woodburning stove is a fantastic focal point to any room. It just has to be carefully considered if you are looking at it from a potentially money saving point of view.
Installation
Do not attempt to install a woodburning stove yourself. Always use a professional installer accredited by HETAS, the official body of solid fuel domestic heating appliances and fuels. Its tradesperson accreditation scheme is akin to the GASSAFE Register used for regulating gas professionals. Our Hetas Registered installers are able to offer you competitive prices as You pay them directly for the work carried out.
